Shouldering Responsibility, Advancing with Steady Resolve — Nigeria Yongxing Company Appointed as Chair Unit of the Ogun State Chinese Enterprises Association

On 29 November 2025, the inauguration ceremony of the Ogun State Chinese Enterprises Association of Nigeria was grandly held at the Zhongfu Industrial Estate in Sagamu, Ogun State. Nearly 800 Chinese and Nigerian guests attended the event, including Mr. Yan Yuqing, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Lagos; representatives of the Ogun State Government and the military and police; local traditional leaders; officials from the Chinese Consulate General in Lagos; as well as representatives from Chinese enterprises and academic institutions within the consular district. All gathered to witness this significant occasion.

During the election session of the assembly, Mr. Zhang Xianghai, General Manager of Nigeria Yongxing Company, was elected Chairman of the Ogun State Chinese Enterprises Association. This appointment is not only a full affirmation of Nigeria Yongxing Company’s long-term commitment to local development and its steady, compliant operations, but also a high recognition of the company’s contributions to promoting China–Nigeria economic and trade cooperation and fulfilling corporate social responsibility. It is likewise a strong commendation of Mr. Zhang Xianghai’s leadership.

Over the years, Nigeria Yongxing Company has consistently adhered to lawful and compliant operations and actively integrated into local social and economic development. While advancing its own growth, the company has continuously participated in community development and public welfare initiatives, establishing the image of a responsible and trustworthy Chinese enterprise. Its development practices in Edo State vividly demonstrate the spirit of “extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits” under the Belt and Road Initiative, and provide a valuable model for pragmatic China–Nigeria cooperation.

The establishment of the Ogun State Chinese Enterprises Association marks a new stage in the development of Chinese enterprises in the region. It not only creates a platform for communication, cooperation, and mutual benefit, but also strengthens synergy among enterprises, injecting new momentum into deeper China–Nigeria economic and trade cooperation. As the Chair Unit, Nigeria Yongxing Company will work together with association members to actively play a bridging and coordinating role, enhance information sharing and resource collaboration, support enterprises in operating in a lawful, compliant, and stable manner, and jointly foster a more favorable business environment.

Looking ahead, Nigeria Yongxing Company will fulfill its responsibilities as the Chair Unit with higher standards, proactively support the development of the Association, and unite Chinese enterprises in the region. By deepening China–Nigeria economic and trade cooperation, promoting friendly exchanges between the two countries, and advancing the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, the company will continue to contribute “Yongxing Strength” and, through practical actions and a strong sense of responsibility, write a new chapter in the steady development of Chinese enterprises abroad.
